About our Nursery

Pine Tree Nurseries is a small, family run nursery nestled at the foot of the Pennines in the beautiful Eden Valley in Cumbria.

We are passionate about all things plant related and have been developing our site for over 8 years. We specialise in hardy perennials, grasses, alpines and shrubs but also have a fabulous selection of trees. Our plants are grown onsite in the midst of the harsh Cumbrian elements.

Every season we introduce new plants to our range, ensuring that we always have new and interesting plants for our customers!

About Us

Duncan and Lynne Wilson, owners of Pine Tree Nurseries, have always had a love of plants and are finally able to share their knowledge and experience of gardening with others through their lifelong dream of owning a nursery.

Duncan trained as a Garden Designer and has been designing and planting client gardens in Cumbria and beyond ever since. His wealth of knowledge and drive for success has allowed the nursery to flourish and continue growing.

Lynne’s thirst for knowledge and passion for plants has led her on a path of horticultural studies, and the kids finally leaving home allowed her to change career and pursue this venture full time!

Even though most of the year it is just the two of them, the nursery has also become a real labour of love for all their family and friends.

The Kids

Ryan is a full time Theatre actor and director living in Edinburgh and often comes down to help with infrastructure. Whilst keeping the family entertained through regular singing and clowning around, he has become an expert at digging holes, cutting wood and putting up fences.

Megan has over the years spent many, many hours helping with all forms of tasks regarding the nursery, for which we are extremely grateful. She has recently returned home from backpacking in New Zealand and has now been drafted in to keep everyone straight when it comes to technology.
