With our nursery open to the public, we desperately needed more space for more plants! So yet again we got on with construction! This time creating space between polytunnels for plant storage. And as always we had fun along the way with our log tossing contest, a little fun competition to give us a boost in the rain.
We started going to local shows in order to get our name heard, letting people know the nursery was open for business. And even winning a few prizes for best looking stand!! Shows have been such a great way of meeting our clients and even though hard work, we always enjoy them!
Our second polytunnel went up (it is a lot easier the second time round!!) and we use it as our propagation polytunnel. This is where Duncan spends most of his days, ensuring we have enough stock for the coming years.
We made the driveway look nice with rocks found around the site and logs from trees on site. Makes a huge difference in comparison to when we first got the nursery!
After laying mypex in the first polytunnel we received our first plant delivery!! This was in 2016, 4 years after Lynne and Duncan first saw the nursery. So much hard work was put in over that time and getting our first plants on site was a real achievement for the whole family!
